Language

Language has undoubtedly been the greatest ever achievement in human history. It is the most precious tool ever invented and developed. From the very beginning, there had been felt an inevitable demand of time to bring into existence such a tool (medium) which could carry and interpret our (human beings') thoughts and ideas to others. Necessity is rightly said to be the mother of invention; for a vehicle in the result of that intense need came into being, not only to deliver and exchange our expressions to one another but to take philosophy, religion, politics, science, and arts along. Communication was thoroughly done through gestures before language came into being. Human beings came into being with spoken form of language as soon as it was realized that the primary function of our body was not to communicate but to perform certain other functions. This discovery to express ourselves verbally was probably the first step towards human prosperity. Thus, it made us (human beings) superior to and distinguishable from other creatures. In fact, it was language only that made us to be called "social animals" in the real sense.
